With most of us that own websites we usually have them either on our own private server or we belong to a hosting company that allows us to use their servers. When you pick a hosting site there are specific things you should be looking out for, one of these things is variety.
Personally I love a “one stop shop” where I can do everything that is relevant to domain names and websites. For example, maybe you find a hosting site that has a host, reseller, dedicated option, domain name options, etc.
I love these sites. You can literally go from beginning to end and not ever leave these sites! Buy your domain name, park it until you are ready to use it, utilize the hosting options when you get your website up. And never have to worry about switching and transferring and moving (which costs money).
Then you can also make money by being a reseller which is what a lot of people do in order to make money from home. One thing you want to look for when joining up with a hosting site is that they do have some of the options above but that they also have other features such as multiple hosting packages.
This is a nice option for the people that or new and want to just pay a few bucks a month. Then once you really get into the website you are building you can up the upgrade and pay a few bucks more for a few more awesome options. For some of the sites I am looking at right now they have about 4 different packages. First one starts at about $2.49 and the fourth package is for $22.99. Of course these are two different packages with two different options so they have a price gap which is to be expected!
Also, if you want specific things in your package, you should take a look at the different packages. For example, say that you want unlimited domains and unlimited email addresses plus you want a bigger amount of bandwidth then you would want something like a medium to large package which would allow you to have all of those options plus much more! It really depends on your personal preference and what you are going to use the account for.
If its for one website that wont use much space and not a lot of people are going to visit, then use a small package. If its a huge site with all sorts of different pages and thousands or millions of people are going to visit in a weeks time, opt for the bigger most expensive package. Either way, you will get exactly what you are paying for!
